The Wisconsin Cannabis Expo made a triumphant return to downtown Milwaukee on Saturday. The one-day event at the Wisconsin Center featured more than 90 vendors, including producers, dispensaries and testers. “We’re trying to educate and give people real information,” says Louis Fortis, editor and editor of Shepherd Express. Guests had the opportunity to try and buy legal products in Wisconsin, such as CBD oil and hemp. Attendees had to be 18 to attend, and 21 to take samples. After suffering a back injury, assistant Robert Alexander now faces constant pain, but the CBD has given him a new chance at life. Alexander says that “it has helped a lot considering your pain pills or CBD … CBD is so much better.” the opportunity to learn more about the cannabis industry – through conversations with industry professionals and medical experts … there were even discussions – about legalization. Currently, the medical and recreational pot is still illegal in Wisconsin. In April, there was a public hearing at the State Capitol on a Republican-backed measure to legalize medical marijuana. The bill can be voted on as soon as possible next year.
