Consumers have been advised to bin or hand back a batch of a popular CBD oil as it could cause a psychoactive ‘high’.
The Food Safety Authority Of Ireland (FSAI) has issued an immediate recall notice for a batch of ‘Hempature CBD Oil’ – a widely available and popular brand.
CBD oils would typically have the tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) that can cause a ‘high’ removed – but in some cases, levels are beyond that allowed under the law.
The Product Recall is for: Hempture CBD Oil 10% 1000mg – pack size: 10ml
The Batch: Code: 121
The best before date: 9/2022
The FSAI says: “The above batch of Hempture CBD Oil 10% 1000mg is being recalled due to the presence of unsafe levels of delta ‐ 9 ‐ tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).”
“Consumers are advised not to consume the implicated batch.”
The Hemp Oil is packaged in Ireland and a recall notice has gone out to stockists – who should also display recall notices at point-of-sale.
