MOORHEAD – A new Your CBD Store is set to open Friday, Feb. 11 at 3234 US Highway 10 E. in Moorhead.
It’ll be the second Your CBD Store in the metro area. The store is being opened by Matt Yde and his wife, Vicki, who also operate the Fargo location as well as a Sioux Falls, SD store.
Yde said the store is aiming to foster an education-focused environment for customers. The goal is to explain how CBD products work and impact the body and answer questions customers may have. “For people who have never tried CBD, it’s a great place to just come and ask questions and really get all the information they want,” he explained.
The store is designed with first-time and older customers in mind, Yde said, featuring a colorful and inviting design. “Our store gives you more of a boutique-type feel when you walk in,” he explained. “That’s why we really try to focus on the people that are older because they’re the ones that are typically more uncomfortable with that first visit.”
The Your CBD Store will carry nearly 200 products, including CBD oil, tinctures and water-solubles, topical creams, bath and beauty products, hemp, gummies and even pet treats. “We’ll have the biggest actual selection in the area,” Yde said.
Many of your CBD Store’s products are also USDA-certified organic, which is uncommon in the industry, Yde said. “Our stuff is very clean,” he said. “Everything we have is developed by a doctor or a biochemist, so it’s very clean. It’s meant to be for therapeutic benefit and really benefit people in that natural way. ”
To mark their opening, the Your CBD Store will host a grand opening this weekend with free samples of CBD products and giveaways of up to $ 1,000 worth of products on Friday and Saturday.

Glassdoor has announced its annual list of the top 50 jobs in America right now and it seems to be dominated by tech engineers.
The majority of these jobs – like “scrum master” – weren’t even on our radar 20 years ago.
Factors such as median base salary, job satisfaction and job availability were assessed to determine the list.
According to Glassdoor, the top 10 jobs in the United States feature several high-salary, tech-focused positions.

The tech-heavy top of the list included six-figure salaries in positions such as enterprise architect, full stack engineer and data scientist. Rounding out the top ten were dev-ops engineer, strategy manager, machine learning engineer, data engineer, software engineer, Java developer and product manager.

Study shows Cupid may be a cheapskate this year

Cupid, that cherubic icon of romantic love, might be feeling a bit stingier this year, according to a nationally representative survey by WalletHub.
WalletHub reports that 70 million Americans plan to spend less on Valentine’s Day this year than they did in years past.
In general, it looks like consumers are feeling less extravagant and more anxious about credit card debt. And even a handsome prince might head into the sunset alone if he’s tall, dark and thriftless.
Regardless of the cause, WalletHub reports the following money-pinching trends from its latest spending survey:
- 70% of Americans expect their loved ones to spend less on them this year.
- With 33% reporting they’ll spend a relatively modest $ 50 or less on a gift, 31% say they won’t spend a dime and just 7% plan to spend $ 101 or more.
- 17% fewer Americans think a Valentine’s Day gift is worth going into credit card debt this year compared to last year. Men are 29% more likely than women to think a Valentine’s Day gift is worth going into credit card debt.
- Over half feel that financial infidelity can be worse than cheating.
- 58% of Americans say that romantic gestures are more important to them now than they were prepandemic.
This is not to say that we want to live on in stony-hearted, bean-counting isolation. We may be more cautious about lavish Lotharios and spendaholic Sophias, but WalletHub reports Americans are still investing in sweet love:
- 76%: The portion of respondents who said they felt it was important to celebrate Valentine’s Day given the current state of the pandemic.
- $ 23.9 billion: Total Valentine’s Day spending projected for 2022 ($ 175.41 per person celebrating).
- $ 10.7 billion: Amount Americans will spend on jewelry ($ 6.2B), flowers ($ 2.3B) and candy ($ 2.2B).
For those who are feeling too skint to spend, take comfort in the knowledge that, for most of us, it’s still the thought that counts. An informal inquiry of Facebook friends reported that many of them derived great joy from these no-cost or low-cost gifts: homemade cards, sending the same cards back and forth every year, hugs and kisses, saying “I love you,” construction -paper roses, poems and even a heart-shaped potato.
