Charlotte Crosby busted in Dubai after sex toy found in her luggage

It is a popular place to go on holiday, but Charlotte Crosby was one of the many tourists who thought that Dubai is like any other destination.

Dubai is a popular holiday destination for Britons who want to soak up the winter sun.

But you may not have as much fun if you are arrested for unintentionally bringing something illegal into the country, The Sun reported.

That’s what almost happened to Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby after it was discovered she had a sex toy in her luggage.

The reality TV star was arrested at the airport last week and had to beg security not to go any further.

It is illegal to bring sex toys to the UAE or send them there.

But sex toys are not the only everyday item banned in Dubai.

There are many other household items that can be sent to you if you take them on your next Dubai vacation.

Pornography

Bringing pornography to the UAE is illegal, so it’s best to leave it at home.

Videos, books, and magazines may be subject to scrutiny and censorship.

Prescription drugs

There is zero tolerance for drug-related offenses in Dubai, and not just illegal drugs in the UK.

There are a number of prescription and over-the-counter medicines that are perfectly legal in Britain and could land you in jail in the UAE.

Travelers can apply for permission to bring their medicines to the United Arab Emirates through an online system and can take up to three months to supply a prescription item for personal use.

But first, they must provide the contact details and will need a letter from their doctor certifying that they need the medicine.

Medications that are banned include anti-anxiety drugs such as diazepam that are available by prescription in the UK.

However, some over-the-counter cold remedies are also on the banned list, as well as the treatment of common acne roaccutane, tramadol and codeine.

CBD oil

CBD oil, which is legal in the UK, is illegal in Dubai. It can be found in a variety of household items in the UK, such as e-cigarettes and beauty products.

If you are in possession of any product containing CBD oil in Dubai, it will be confiscated and you may face criminal charges.

Alcohol

Alcohol is legal in Dubai and tourists can buy and drink alcohol in licensed places such as hotels, restaurants and clubs.

You can also pick up cheap alcohol at the duty free shop, but you will have to limit yourself, as you can only bring four liters of alcoholic beverages or 24 cans of beer to customs.

Wear certain clothes

Being transgender is not recognized in Dubai, nor is dressing like a different sex than the one you were born in.

Thus, even though the clothes themselves are not illegal, dressing with sex that was not assigned to you at birth is considered illegal and is punishable.
