Cannabis treatments may help reduce severe anxiety in young people, according to a new study.
Researchers at Orygen Youth Health in Australia found that young people with treatment-resistant anxiety saw a 42% reduction in severity and impairment after using Cannabidiol, also known as CBD oil, for 12 weeks.
Orygen Professor Paul Amminger, who led the study, said: “Young people had fewer panic attacks and were able to do things they couldn’t before like leave the house, go to school, participate in social situations , eating at restaurants, taking public transport or attending appointments themselves.
