Does CBD have a place in modern dentistry? While it may seem like a strange question, there may be a legitimate case for “CBD toothpaste”. In fact, there are already a few dentists who have begun to study the effects of CBD on the health of teeth and gums. We’ve even heard of a few patients who enjoy adding a few drops of Tribe CBD oil to their dental hygiene routine.

So what’s the deal? CBD oil could really brighten your smile; or, is all this just an exaggerated trick? While we don’t have all the answers on the use of CBD for teeth, there are a few fascinating reports on this topic.

Why would people put CBD in their teeth?

The main reason people are excited about the potential of CBD for dental health is its anti-inflammatory properties. As we mentioned in previous blog posts, many studies suggest that topical CBD may reduce joint swelling and pain. Some scientists believe that applying CBD to the gums may have similar healing benefits.

Interestingly, a study from Brazil examined the effectiveness of CBD on inflammatory gum disease. Although this trial only studied the effects of CBD injections in rats, it suggests that the anti-inflammatory properties of CBD could positively influence gum health.

There are also some studies that suggest that CBD may have antimicrobial compounds. In fact, some journalists claim that CBD may play a role in the destruction of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. This strong antibacterial potential could play a positive role in oral hygiene.

How is CBD oil taken from the tribe for dental health?

There are no great techniques to add CBD oil to your dental care routine. If you’re curious about using CBD oil on your teeth, put a few drops of CBD oil on top of your toothpaste and brush it for at least two minutes.

If you are a fan of oil extraction, you can also add ½ drops of Tribe CBD oil to about a tablespoon of coconut oil. You could even experiment by mixing a little CBD oil in a shot of wheatgrass and stirring for about five minutes. Interestingly, many people believe that wheatgrass chlorophyll has healing properties for gums.

Of course, the scientific literature on all these alternative healing methods is still in the preliminary stages. None of these complementary therapies are intended to treat or cure any dental condition, nor do they replace the usual brushing and flossing. Add these therapies to your wellness routine only with the approval of a dentist.

Having dental anxiety? Tribe CBD can help with that!

Even if you are not interested in mixing CBD oil with your toothpaste, there are many chances that you may benefit from a little CBD before your dental appointment. Did you know that about 36 percent of people are afraid to go to the dentist? This makes dentophobia one of the most common panic disorders in the world.

Fortunately, there are many studies that suggest that CBD has natural anti-stress properties. If you take a glass of Tribe CBD oil at least 30 minutes before an appointment with the dentist, we bet it could tame your dreaded dentophobia.
