Warning as Irish CBD oil range recalled due to ‘unsafe’ THC levels

An entire range of Irish CBD oils have been recalled by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI).

he FSAI issued the recall alert about all batches of GreenHeart CBD oils due to the presence of “unsafe levels” of delta ‐ 9 ‐ tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) based on the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) acute reference dose.

The products, which are packaged in Co. Meath, also contain lower levels of CBD than that declared, which the FSAI say is “misleading to the consumer.”

The recall concerns the company’s hemp seed, rapeseed, and flax seed product blends at 2.5pc and 5pc and includes all best before dates, all batch codes, and sizes 10ml, 30ml, and 100ml.

Customers are not advised to consume these products.

GreenHeart CBD has been contacted for comment.
