The Blues Brothers set sail for Tulsa on Tuesday, spotting the Green Country cannabis industry ahead of their performance at Cain’s Ballroom.
They sing, act, dance, joke and now the Blues Brothers, Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi, are engaged in the cannabis business. This raises the question: what do they not do?
“Oklahoma, we’re the Blues Brothers,” Belushi said.
From comedy to cannabis.
“I have the privilege of working with the new pioneers in Oklahoma. This was one of the strictest states that avoided cannabis use and has now completely become a sensible place,” Aykroyd said.
The Blues Brothers get into a new business and say they want to be part of a health care movement here in Oklahoma.
“We believe that cannabis is one of the great medicines that can lead to a path of healing. We are on a mission from God,” Belushi said.
“We are,” Aykroyd said.
The Blues Brothers want to tackle the opioid crisis and expand the spread of veterans. They said it starts by making medical marijuana more accessible and acceptable.

Aykroyd and Belushi partner with Oklahoma Glazed Edibles and Red-Bird Bioscience to create their own line of cannabis products. Fans poured into the Seed Cannabis Company on Tuesday afternoon as the two autographs signed, took photos and displayed some of the merchandise.
“It’s part of a crusade and it’s a lot of fun, and we’re capitalists and entrepreneurs too,” Belushi said.
Belushi and Aykroyd said in the end that they were dedicated to making people feel good.
“Cannabis and music together are a natural mix,” Belushi said.
The Blues Brothers performance begins at Cain’s ballroom at 7 p.m., and tickets are still available.
